Keene (a North Ridgeville, OH native) grew up with a dislike for processed white bread. Instead, he asked his mom to bring home everything bagels for him to make his sandwiches on. As an athlete, Keene would make hearty sandwiches that fueled him up for his practices + gam

Keene (a North Ridgeville, OH native) grew up with a dislike for processed white bread. Instead, he asked his mom to bring home everything bagels for him to make his sandwiches on. As an athlete, Keene would make hearty sandwiches that fueled him up for his practices + games. After graduating from West Liberty University, where he played basketball for 4 years, he struggled to find a career that he enjoyed + kept thinking about the bagel sandwich concept he had dreamt about.
After meeting Natalie, he was inspired to GO FOR IT! He quit his corporate job and together, with his best friend Matt and Natalie, embarked on the Cocky's journey. He has not looked back since!

Natalie, who's parents immigrated to the U.S. from Jordan, had dreamt of becoming a doctor since she was young. She graduated with a Biology degree from Miami University in 2015 + took a year off to save up for medical school. During that year, she met her now husband, Keene Cockburn.

Natalie, who's parents immigrated to the U.S. from Jordan, had dreamt of becoming a doctor since she was young. She graduated with a Biology degree from Miami University in 2015 + took a year off to save up for medical school. During that year, she met her now husband, Keene Cockburn.
As a supportive girlfriend at the time, she motivated Keene to start Cocky's. She helped with branding and building the business, and eventually fell in love with it and realized it was her baby too! She realized that she didn't need to be a doctor to help people + that she could help people through Cocky's!
Since then, she has opened a dance and fitness studio, The Workshop, that works to empower young girls + women through dance and fitness. She also serves at the Vice President of a non-profit, charter school, Stepstone Academy, in Cleveland.
